The Tampa Bay Chapter (TBOWIT), established in 1997, is one of more than 30 + chapters worldwide under the umbrella of OWIT, the Organization of Women in International Trade, a dynamic organization created to enhance the status and interests of women in the field of international business. Today, TBOWIT stands on three pillars:  networking, community, and scholarships. We encourage and stimulate the exchange of views, ideas, and information by providing monthly events.

POSITION: MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS INTERN, 10-20 hours per week

HOW YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE TO OUR ORGANIZATION: 

The Marketing and Communications Intern will work directly with the Vice President of Marketingto create content and develop campaigns across TBOWIT platforms. They will also respond to the President for other tasks as needed.

• Practice the interpersonal skills required to work in a collaborative team-based environment
• Identify and reflect on your work-style, strengths, areas for growth, and goals
• Gain experience in the following areas:

• Developing communications campaigns
• Creating Social Media and marketing materials
• Designing posts and flyers

WHAT OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE LOOKS LIKE:

Our ideal candidate has at least one year of experience (academic or applied) working in marketing and communications to produce marketing collateral and manage social media campaigns. This collegial and highly reliable intern:

• Demonstrates consistently high-quality written and communication skills
• Demonstrates familiarity with basic marketing design and content management
• Previous experience with Social Media management

It is even better if the candidate has:

• Previous professional experience in design and marketing
• Previous experience translating brand identity into a SM presence
