About TBOWIT: TBOWIT is one of more than 30 chapters worldwide under the umbrella of OWIT, the Organization of Women in International Trade. Our mission is to promote international business and affairs in the Tampa Bay area and to provide a forum for networking, education, and scholarships, with a global focus and an emphasis on women. Our goal is to foster the development of future leaders in Tampa Bay and to be the driving force behind the recognition of women leaders in Tampa Bay’s international businesses community.
Title: Intern For International Trade and Student Programs
Compensation: $500 stipend
Timeline: Fall, Spring, and Summer Semesters
Hours: 10 -15 hours per week
How You Can Contribute to Our Organization: The International Trade and Student Programs Intern will work closely with the Director of Innovation and Internships, as well as the President to build the foundation for a comprehensive student internship program. You will assist us in conducting research on student interests and the needs of small and large international businesses, conducting research on existing internships in the Tampa Bay area, establishing local hosts (preferably members) for the intern half-day shadowing program, finalizing a marketing and communications campaign for the official internship program, and finalizing three internship descriptions based on market needs.
