    South Africa represents a market of 55 million consumers whose GDP, according to the World Bank, is expected to rebound dramatically in the 2018-2020 time frame. Without question, South Africa is the most advanced and diversified economy in the Southern African region. South Africa is the U.S.’s third largest two-way trading partner and the Africa Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) affords U.S. companies duty-free access to most Sub-Saharan countries. English is widely spoken in South Africa and its logistics infrastructure, legal system and similar business practices make the market an ideal entry point for U.S. exporters.

    The guest speakers for this event include Mrs. Abigail Ellary, South African Director, EFI South Africa and Emmanuel Mbevi, Trade Associate, EFI South Africa.

    Also presenting at the seminar are representatives from the Small Business Development Center, the U.S. Small Business Administration and the U.S. Commercial Service, who will provide an overview of other services available to Florida exporters.

    Space is limited and reservations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Light refreshments and free parking will also be provided.

    How Women Leaders Can Navigate Conflict Productively to Discover Innovative Solutions for Their Companies, Teams, and Themselves

    Speaker

     Beth Hand

    FREE PROESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
                 FOR OWIT MEMBERS

      TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 6 at 12:00 - 1:00 P.M. EST

    Every major global study from PwC, to Bersin by Deloitte, to McKinsey says the same thing: globally, companies are experiencing an unprecedented degree of complexity, uncertainty, and rate of change. While this creates opportunities, it also comes with worrying challenges. The media is filled with examples of unproductive-and worse, destructive-conflict. The ability to navigate conflict productively can make the difference in creating a company culture of innovation, developing a high-performing team, advancing careers, or successfully negotiating complex deals.

    Beth Hand of Leadership Hand, LLC will bring OWIT members through an exclusive, members-only professional development session in which they will:

    • Learn the high costs of conflict and why, despite the costs, companies and people are not better at addressing this conflict;
    • Discover their own team's or their own unique success strategies;
    • Explore the Productive Conflict™ Workout for navigating conflict effectively; and
    • Learn tips on when to consider and when to ignore cultural differences.

    Webinar attendees will leave with immediately actionable strategies to help their company, team, and themselves navigate conflict more successfully.

    BETH HAND is the CEO of Leadership Hand LLCand a strategic advisor to mission-driven leaders and teams in mid-size to Fortune 500 companies. She is a sought-after speaker because her insights and actionable strategies help leaders achieve business results and contribute to global good.
